The Thirthieth Provincial Synod of the Moravian Church Eastern West Indies Conference was convened at the Sugar Bay Resort & Spa on Friday, July 13, 2012. Some 71 delages and 31 oberservers were in attendance.

The Synod was opened with a retreat led by the Rev. Dr. Harvard Stephen Jr. of the Lutheran Church. he spoke on Jacob and his encounter with God. He challenged the church to name the season it is in, that it might better minister to the age.

Rev. Dr. Errol Connor was elected Chairman of Synod and the Rev. Dr. Dion Christopher was elected as vice-Chairman. Rev. Algernon Lewis was elected Secretary and the Rev. Winston Jones was elected Assistant Secretary.

Presentation of reports began on Saturday, July 14, 2012.

The opening service will be held at the Memorial Moravian Church on Sunday, July 15, 2012 commencing at 8:45 am. The Closing Communion Service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Nisky Moravian Church, commencing at 7:00 pm. Both services will be streamed live from this website.
