Worship in Rhythm

On the evening of the 12th July, 2009, the 29th Synod of the Moravian Church Eastern West Indies Province held its opening service. This grand event took place at the Zion Moravian Church,Victoria St. Kitts. This grand event commenced at 6:00pm with the procession of all the delegates and clergy in all black waving their flag of the country which they represented. The countries represented were Antigua, Barbados, St. Kitts, Trinidad, Tobago and the Virgin Islands. Also present was the Governor General of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, Sir Dr. Cuthbert Sebastian.

The outgoing representatives of the Provincial Elders Conference participated in the leading of the service. The preacher of the evening was Rev. Dr. Cortroy Jarvis, the outgoing chairman of the Provincial Elders Conference. His very challenging topic for the evening was an Unchanging God in an Unchanging world. The evening was one saturated with God’s anointing and indeed Christ centered.
We are very thankful to the St. Kitts conference and all those who contributed to ensure that this time of worship was as enjoyable as it was.
