Right on target brother. In this time when we try so hard to be correct (politically, and truly) we often become so busy noticing and pointing out the shortfalls of others, that we forget the we too are often times as faulty as those whose faults we see and point out. Often the hardest person to accept correction are those who love to correct others. To get the best out of others we correct them when they slip. To get the best out of ourselves we should be open to being corrected by others when we slip.

This comment is in relation to the FF December 04, 2009, I have a suggestion, persons can also read the bible online, they are many sites which offer modern texts so it is more easily understood. I would read the bible online daily as i sat at my desk. This might be a good alternative for person who sit behind a computer for the majority of their day. It is a good idea to read the 'word' when one is alert, i find that during the working hours of the day may be, for some, the best time to read and retain text from the Bible. Keep up the good work Rev. Mikie and all who try to give inspiration to our spiritual walk with God. Thank and God bless....

This is Melissa - greeting you from Grand Cayman! Hope you're having a splendid time, and I
just wanted to post a comment and say that the Daily Text reflection today 'hit the nail on
the head'. It's a very valid point and was so meaningful, to me because I was speaking with
Mom about it not so long ago. It finally makes sense now and I just wanted to say thanks for
simplifying it and spelling it out to me. Understanding & putting into action the words
'Remember the poor and needy among you' is not hard to do, but one's feelings and emotions
have a tendency of getting thrown in the mix, which ends up distorting the understanding
of his/her true purpose. Thanks again for the weekly emails, God bless, and have fun!

While reading todays Friday Focus many thoughts came to mind some that made me chuckle because I have been in situations where I found that WAITING made my stress level rise. However As you have stated that sometime when we talk a bit too much God stop so I totally agree that WAITING you learned to listen and I have found saying to persons in a long bank line" don't worry man we will soon get to the teller" I'm also reminded of a famous verse in the bible, they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength. Strength to deal with the daily walk with the Lord.
