July 13, 2015Rev. Dr. Conrad Spencer

The Moravian Church Eastern West Indies Province, at its Thirty-First (31st) Provincial Synod held at Jolly Beach Resort and Spa in Antigua, after prayerful contemplation, has elected the Rev. Dr. Conrad Spencer as a Bishop of the Moravian Church (Unitas Fratrum).  Dr. Spencer, an Antiguan was elected on the 7th Ballot cast on 13th July, 2015.

Rev. Dr. Spencer is currently serving as Pastor of the Faith Moravian Congregation in the Virgin Islands Conference, on St. Croix.  He was ordained on July 11, 1982, and just celebrated his 33rd Anniversary of Ordination.  He is married to Sonia Spencer and they have three (3) daughters.

The Moravian Church gives God the glory as he continues to lead us. Rev. Dr. Conrad Spencer will have the number 358 in the line of the Ancient Moravian Church and 296 of the Renewed Moravian Church.

We encourage the Moravian Family and the community as a whole to bear us up in prayer as Synod continues to meet.

Postscript:   Bishop elect Spencer will be consecrated to the Episcopate on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Spring Gardens Moravian Church in Antigua.
